Autograph letter dated and signed by Théodore de Banville (26 lines in black ink from Paris) concerning the publication of a work by his friend the poet Philoxène Boyer recently deceased.
Fold marks inherent to mailing.
Théodore de Banville sends his correspondent a list of Philoxène Boyer's works: "... this list doesn't look like much, and seems a rather heterogeneous composition..." and hopes that his friend and colleague will be influential enough to have one of the deceased poet's works published: "...these are seriously beautiful pages, which do not even lack unity, as it is given to them by the poet's thought..."
