Third edition, with some parts in first edition, being the first revised and expanded text. Half dark brown sheep binding, smooth spine decorated with double gilt fillets showing traces of rubbing, marbled paper boards, contemporary binding. Both copies are complete with the two frontispiece engravings (the second with tears and small corner losses has been pasted onto a loose leaf). One loose leaf, some occasional minor foxing, the half-title and title pages of the second volume are missing which prevents us from indicating which edition this is.
