Half dark green morocco-grained shagreen binding with corners, faded spine with four raised bands set with gilt dots and decorated with double gilt compartments notably featuring a gilt Cupid drawing his bow, red shagreen title-label and author label, moiré-effect paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges.
Handsome copy despite the slightly faded spine with some rubbing to one joint and the head caps.
