New edition, one of the 25 non-commercial copies numbered on Holland paper, first edition. Binding full morocco rose old, smooth back decorated with incisions of brown, pink and beige morocco pieces representing floral motifs as well as morocco strips covered with seedlings of golden dots, golden edges on the headdresses, boards decorated with two garnet and light pink morocco roses and five morocco bands finished in spikes and covered with a sowing of golden dots, guards and contreplats of fabric embroidered with gold or silver thread and with floral motifs , framing on the contreplats of the same decoration as on the boards, guards following paper in the vat, wrappers and back preserved and bound in, gilded head on witnesses, golden nets on the cuts, elegant binding typically Art Déco. Signed autograph of Colette on the page of fake title: "For Germaine, you who like what is simple, what is sincere, you probably like the simplest book, the most sincere, that has written your old and faithful friend Colette. " Our copy is enriched by an autograph letter signed three pages of Colette to the same Germaine on blue paper to send him this beautiful copy: "thank god without images". Colette knows that her bibliophile friend will appreciate it because "apart from loving clean papers and beautiful characters, I only keep the books for their text."
