Half red shagreen binding, smooth spine slightly faded and bearing a black stain at foot decorated with a gilt cartouche adorned with gilt arabesques, gilt date at tail, joints lightly rubbed, gilt fillet on marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt, bookplate pasted on verso of front board, contemporary binding signed by Yseux successor to Thierry-Simier.
