    Half red morocco over marbled boards, corners in morocco, spine with five raised bands adorned with gilt fillets and double gilt compartments, date stamped in gilt at foot, minor rubbing to the bands, gilt fillet border on the marbled paper boards, comb-marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers and backstrip with a few minor losses preserved, a light scratch to an upper corner, contemporary binding signed by C. Septier.

    A complete set of the Les Nuits series, as published by Flammarion. First editions of some of the 12 works, each one of 750 numbered copies reimposed on vélin de Rives paper.
    The works are bound in threes in half navy-blue shagreen by Houades, the spines decorated with stars and crescent moons in palladium, upper covers preserved (some lower also retained), all edges gilt.
    All the works are illustrated with etchings, lithographs or woodcuts, each by a different artist from among the following : Alexeieff, Ahü, Dignimont, Baudier, Renefer, Drouart, Mainssieux, Suréda, Fouqueray, Serveau and Dethomas.
