The first edition, of which there were no deluxe copies of this children's book presented as a tourist postcard from the Baladar Islands to send to friends. Publisher's binding in full boards, illustrated covers. Work illustrated with drawings by André François. Inevitable traces of rubbing to the spine due to the fact that Jacques Prévert sent by postal mail the autograph inscriptions made on this work: the addresses and names written by Jacques Prévert at the bottom of the first cover and in the middle of the second cover. Autograph inscription signed by Jacques Prévert to Catherine Drimet: "A Catherine avec plaisir Jacques Prévert Paris Février 1962." ["To Catherine with pleasure Jacques Prévert Paris February 1962."] enriched with an original drawing in black felt-tip pen heightened with green, brown and orange felt-tip pens representing a jovial figure brandishing two flowers."
