Half tawny shagreen binding with corners, spine slightly darkened with four raised bands decorated with gilt fillets and compartments of brown mosaicked shagreen, gilt date at tail, moiré-effect paper boards, marbled paper endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges, binding signed by Saulnier.
