Half tawny shagreen binding with corners, spine slightly darkened with four raised bands decorated with gilt fillets and compartments of brown mosaicked shagreen, gilt date at tail, moiré-effect paper boards, marbled paper endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges, binding signed by Saulnier.
Fine and rare full-margined copy.

Illustrated edition with original woodcuts in black and colors by Sylvain Sauvage, one of 878 numbered copies on Rives paper.
Half navy blue morocco binding with corners, spine with four raised bands, gilt date at foot, marbled paper boards, moiré paper endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt, contemporary binding signed Saulnier.
