Full mint-green glazed calf bindings, lightened spines with five raised bands set with gilt wavy fillets decorated with gilt typographical motifs as well as blind friezes, gilt friezes at head and foot, some traces of rubbing to spines, gilt roulettes on headcaps, upper headcap of volume 1 worn, frames of two gilt fillets with gilt dots at corners setting a blind dentelle on boards, light scuffing to boards, gilt wavy fillets on leading edges, corners very slightly bumped without consequence, gilt dentelles on endpapers, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, all edges gilt, elegant Romantic bindings signed by Thouvenin.
