This first edition of L'Etranger was printed in 4,400 copies on 21 April 1942 and divided into eight fictitious "editions" of 500 copies each.
Small tears at the head and foot of the sunned spine, foxing to the wrappers, losses along the right-hand margin of the front wrapper.
