Full vellum-style paper boards binding, spine with five raised bands set with double gilt fillets and gilt garlands and decorated with gilt fleurons, gilt roulettes on headcaps, frame of gilt floral frieze on boards, front board stamped in the center with the Coussemaker family coat of arms, endpapers and pastedowns of speckled paper, frame of gilt dentelle on pastedowns, gilt fillets on leading edges.
Two small stains at head of back board and at foot of front board.
The work contains 280 coats of arms in chromolithography distributed across 14 plates; the Coussemaker family coat of arms has unfortunately been cut out from the third plate.
