"This is an important collection of letters written to the antiquary the Comte de Caylus, beginning as early as 1729 and including the period up to 1778. The collection includes the letters of the Abbé Sevin and others, including Anquetil Duperron and Le Roy, but it is especially significant for Peyssonnel's letters to Caylus. It was edited by Bourlet de Vauxcelles, with the assistance of Antoine Serieys" [Leonora Navari].
A very good copy, attractively bound.
