Autograph inscription signed by Edmond Jouhaud to the wife of General Pierre Marette, recently widowed, presenting his condolences: "... j'apprends le deuil cruel qui vous touche en la personne de votre époux, mon ami, avec qui je me trouvais à Saint Cyr en 1924..." ["I learn of the cruel loss that touches you in the person of your husband, my friend, with whom I was at Saint Cyr in 1924..."], envelope included.
