Autograph letter signed by Jean Paulhan, 15 lines written in blue ink addressed to Felia Leal the publisher of "Paroles transparentes", a work by Jean Paulhan illustrated with 14 original lithographs by Georges Braque. Fold mark inherent to posting. Jean Paulhan wishes to postpone an appointment for fear of being late: "... j'ai peur de ne pouvoir rentrer aux Arènes demain avant quatre heures. Est-ce qu'il vous dérangerait un peu plus tard que nous n'avions décidé ?" (... I'm afraid I won't be able to return to the Arènes tomorrow before four o'clock. Would it bother you if we met a little later than we had decided?) and shows himself affected by the criticism directed at him by Marcel Jouhandeau: "Marcel J. me bat froid, et je trouve la Passerelle un peu féroce." (Marcel J. is giving me the cold shoulder, and I find La Passerelle rather fierce.)
