Rare original silver gelatin photograph. Among the known portraits of the writer, particularly those by Henri Manuel, we have found no trace of this one. The date is naturally approximate in the absence of more precise data.
On the verso, stamp: "La mention Photo Henri Manuel est obligatoire" ["The mention Photo Henri Manuel is obligatory"]. Second stamp with number 761. In grey pencil manuscript: Maurice Leblanc.
Thin scratches above the arm resting on the elbow. Superb condition.
