A moving large-format shot of the writer at the very end of his life, looking almost Christ-like, seated in an armchair hands folded in his lap, as if resigned to his tragic fate.
Antonin Artaud was the first of her famous series of artists portraits which also included Giacometti, Picasso, Soulages and Miro pictured in their studio.
