Statement of third edition. Printed in italics. The first edition appears to be that of 1550 by the same publisher, in folio and octavo format. A second edition appeared in 1553. Copy with the large arms of Michel II de Marcillac, Lord of Ollainville, Baron of Atichy; master of requests and state counsellor. Argent, masoned sable of 7 pieces, two, three and two, each charged with a blackbird sable. Olivier Pl. 2082. Full marbled and glazed calf binding of the 17th century. Spine with raised bands decorated with 5 compartmented fleurons, roll-tooling on the bands. Brown calf title label. Large arms stamped on boards. Skilful and fine restoration to headcaps, joints and corners. One tear to upper board. According to the signature of the gatherings, there should be 2 blank leaves after the last printed leaf, there is only one; the second has been placed before the title. Fine copy.
