First edition. An additional volume was added in 1788 of the works of Frederick II. 3 other volumes containing letters and documents on Frederick II were added as supplements in 1789.
Half brown calf bindings ca 1820, smooth spine with fillets.
The first volume covers the period 1712 to 1756, the second from 1756 to 1763, the third deals with "administration during peace", and the last volume treats private and literary life and contains numerous anecdotes.
