This is therefore one of the earliest books illustrated by lithography, printed in the very city where the technique was invented.
In the same year, Senefelder's L'Art de la lithographie was published in France.
Dedicatory epistle to Maximilian Joseph, King of Bavaria.
Provenance: manuscript ownership inscription of G. Starhemberg on the wrapper and a partly faded stamp of the Starhemberg Library at Eferding Castle.
