    The letter is addressed to D. Giuseppe Toaldo and concerns a sculpture commissioned by Venice from Chevalier Angelo Emo, Commander of the Venetian navy. The author, De Rossi (1754-1827) describes the Sculpture minutely, detail by detail, and analyzes the feelings it provokes. The author wrote several opuscules of this type.
    One copy located at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, but absent from English and French catalogues as well as the British Library.

The copy has been interleaved with numerous leaves, most of which remained blank, but some contain annotations.
