New edition of the French translation. Half sheep binding in dark green, spine in four compartments decorated with gilt fillets and panels showing minor rubbing at head and foot. Copy complete with the English, Italian, Spanish and German translations of this text by Coluthus. Some foxing.
New edition, first in part, one of 30 numbered copies on Japon ancien, tirage de tête. Including 'Lampes to Arc', 'Feuilles de température', '25 poèmes sans oiseaux'. A tiny lack to foot of spine, slightly and partly sunned, not serious. Good copy with edges preserved.
First edition on current paper. Iconography. Some small minor bites affecting mainly the photographs representing André Gide. Full copy of his prayer to insert. Precious autograph dedication signed by Maurice Sachs to Paul Léautaud.
Later complete edition, the last before it was censored. Contemporary Bradel binding of beige vellum-like paper over paper boards, spine with small tear to foot, title piece in bottle-green sheep, upper corners bumped. Rare autograph inscription signed by Evariste Parny to one of his friends, enriched with a manuscript note explaining to the recipient that ‘this edition is the only complete one'. Ex libris to upper inside cover. Complete with publisher's catalogue at end, the end partly shaved not touching text, a few small rare wormholes, not serious.
First edition, one of 109 numbered copies on Lafuma Navarre and re-imposed in Tellière quarto format, tirage de tête. Slighlty sunned to foot of spine, a good copy.

Rare first edition. Half navy shagreen binding, smooth spine decorated with double gilt fillets, one joint slightly rubbed, one lower corner very slightly bumped, contemporary binding. Blind-stamped bookplate, some minor foxing of no consequence.
First edition, one advance (service de presse) copy, for which there was no mention of large paper copies. Rare autograph inscription from Francis Poictevin to Louise Read. A good and rare copy.
