Plates adorned with a large red and gold plate bearing in medallions the figures of several kings, against a background of red foliage. White moiré guards. Some slight traces of friction in headdresses and bit, otherwise, beautiful copy , in a superb condition, despite scattered foxing on a white paper, strong on the front pages (of a different paper). Minister of Education, Guizot played a key role in the history of education and this book is the result of his reflections.
