Signed autograph inscription from Jacques Derrida to a couple of close friends Jos and Christine (Joliet).Joseph Joliet, a former student of Derrida became a very close friend of the philosopher. Very attentive to Joliet's writing, Derrida would write the preface to his novel: L'enfant au chien assis and support him during difficult periods (cf. Derrida a Biography, by Benoit Peeters).
Spine slightly creased without gravity, a trace of marginal fold at foot of front cover, complete with its publisher's wraparound band which has small tears.
