Pour excitante et roborative qu'ait été ma lecture de ton livre, elle n'en a pas moins été fatiguée par divers énervements..." ["I thank you warmly for sending me Mai retrouvé. However exciting and invigorating my reading of your book may have been, it was nonetheless wearied by various irritations..."]
