Very beautiful manuscript poem by Léopold Sédar Senghor entitled "The totem" comprising seven stanzas: "The totem. I must hide it from the innermost of my veins / The storm-skinned ancestor streaked with lightning and lightning / My guardian animal, I must hide it / Let me not break the barrage of scandals / It is my faithful blood that requires fidelity / Protecting my naked pride from / Myself and the superb of happy breeds. Senghor. " We enclose a typed letter signed by Léopold Sédar Senghor, dated December 5, 1984, and sent from Dakar, in which he requests to find with this present the handwritten copy of his poem "The totem"
