Letter autograph signed two pages (20 lines) dated July 7, 1917and written from his home in Paris about a subscription for a biography project dedicated to Charles Peguy. While in Paris, Henri Bergson thanked his correspondent for the mail he sent him during his absence: "I am about to leave, and will probably not return before October: I must devote myself to a job that I can not finish in Paris ". Henri Bergson advises his correspondent, in order to advance his project, to speak directly to close friends of Charles Péguy , "until you can address a wider audience." Although Henri Bergson can not meet his interlocutor physically, he immediately takes part in this sponsorship subscription : "I will be happy to talk to you about this project at the beginning of the school year, but now I want to send you my subscription - 200 francs - which you will find enclosed. "
