First collected edition, a first issue copy.
Handsome autograph inscription signed by the author to Jules Renard.
This copy is enriched with the famous ex libris of the dedicatee drawn and engraved by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, laid down on the ffep.
Spine slightly cracked at head and foot, one joint cracked and repaired in the inside margin with a piece of adhesive tape, two small tears to inner margins repaired with adhesive tape, occasional wormtracks affecting some guards.
This copy, though an ordinary paper copy, is well-margined.
