Full green sheep bindings, strictly contemporary. Smooth spines richly decorated with Restoration-era tools. Black sheep title and volume labels. Large decorative blind stamp on boards and gilt ruling frame. Ruling on edges. Spines uniformly faded. Signs of rubbing. 2 corners slightly bumped. Scattered foxing, quite pronounced on the second title page and some pages, mostly in the outer margins, the whole showing rather clean. One tear p. 179 in volume 1, without loss.
