Jansenist binding in full red morocco, spine with five raised bands, gilt dentelle frame on pastedowns, pastedowns and endpapers lined with combed paper, double gilt fillet on leading edges, gilt roulettes on headcaps, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges, binding signed by Andrieux, binder to the House of Orléans, who was active from approximately 1837 to 1870.
