The first edition, of which there were no deluxe copies. Bradel binding in full blue cloth, smooth spine uniformly faded. Our copy is presented in a half blue morocco chemise, smooth spine and paste-paper boards, paper lining, slipcase of the same paper and bordered in blue morocco, signed by P. Goy and C. Vilaine. Dedicatee's bookplate pasted on a pastedown. Rare autograph inscription dated and signed by Benjamin Fondane on this important text: "A Renaud de Jouvenel en témoignage de bonne amitié, avec l'hommage de Benjamin Fondane."
