Half red morocco binding with corners, spine with five raised bands, date and initials gilt at foot, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt on deckled edges, elegant binding signed by J.P. Miguet.
Fine autograph inscription signed by René-Louis Doyon to his close friend Magdeleine Martin: "... qui suit les traces du Christ dans les livres et ses reflets dans les hommes." ["... who follows the traces of Christ in books and his reflections in men."]
