Half black morocco with corners, spine with four raised bands with very light scratches of no consequence, gilt initials at foot, covers, endpapers and pastedowns of moiré paper, original covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt.
Text preceded by a study on Inigo de Loyola ou le triomphe de l'esprit militaire by René-Louis Doyon, autograph inscription from the latter to a close friend at the end of this study. Our copy is complete with both portraits on Japon of I. de Loyola & R. Perez de Ayala and their duplicate state on Chine.
