First collected edition with some parts in first edition. Illustrated with two engraved and repeated titles and 4 out-of-text figures engraved on copper by Frilley, Cousin and Durand after Tony Johannot, Pujol, Devéria and Henri Monnier, on China paper laid down. Another edition by the same publisher in 3 volumes in-12, with unpublished pieces occupying the entirety of the third volume. Contemporary half-glazed cherry red calf binding. Spine with false flat raised bands decorated with a large central blind stamp, with 2 compartments with multiple frames. Black glazed calf title and volume labels. Scattered foxing, one gathering browned pp. 250 to 256 in volume 1. A wide brown stain in margins of the last leaves of table in volume 2. The first leaves of both volumes with dry moisture traces in top margin. 3 corners slightly bumped. Leaf 15 in volume I shorter in right margin. Traces of rubbing at head. Handsome copy in a strictly contemporary binding.
