Full black morocco binding, spine with four raised bands, front board decorated with a beautiful repousse calf plaque representing Joan of Arc in profile with her signature and arms engraved in the upper corners, double fillet stamped in blind framing the plaque, painted and gilt paper pastedowns lined with black morocco decorated with rich gilt dentelle framing on three sides, painted and gilt paper endpapers, gilt dentelle on the leading edges and headcaps, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt on deckled edges, elegant unsigned binding.
