Bound in full red calico, smooth back, first board illustrated with golden arabesques, ornate second flat of a golden typographical motif at its center, guards and contreplats red paper.
autograph dedication of the author autograph dated 1985 and signed by Jean-Denis Mascles Helen and Robert Frederick, editor of the book: "... cat lovers, here's fables for great people ..." enriched by a drawing in black pen representing three cats.
We enclose two letters dated and signed autographs of Jean Anouilh, one-page, regarding the development of this work, the choice of fables and how Jean-Denis Mascles could illustrate.
We also join the preface of Jean Anouilh, two pages, he typed writing, signed and corrected but that was not accepted by the publisher.
Finally, we attach a card stock on which Jean Anouilh scored a few words relating to the preface mentioned above.
