Twenty-two menus illustrated with a composition by Marie Laurencin, listing the wines and seafood served at the meal held on 24 March 1938 by the Cercle des Gourmettes. This women’s gastronomic club, one of the first of its kind in France, was founded in Paris in 1929 in response to the exclusion of women from the Club des Cent, an exclusively male gastronomic society.
