Half chocolate brown morocco binding with corners, spine with four raised bands heavily rubbed, top headcap worn away, gilt date at foot, author's name and navy blue morocco title label, boards, endpapers and pastedowns of moiré-effect paper, covers and spine preserved, corners slightly bumped, top edge gilt on deckled edges.
Precious signed autograph inscription by Charles Maurras below the justification page: "A Madame Léon Daudet , respectueux hommage d'un admirateur, compère et ami. Charles Maurras." ["To Madame Léon Daudet, respectful homage from an admirer, colleague and friend. Charles Maurras."]
