Bradel binding in half sienna cloth, smooth spine decorated with gilt floral motifs, double gilt fillets at tail, black shagreen title-label, marbled paper boards, orange paper endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers preserved.
Gift inscription in pen by a previous owner on the half-title page, minor foxing without significance.
Work illustrated with an engraving as frontispiece and a folding map at the end of the volume.
