Original albumen photograph representing George Sand, in carte-de-visite format, mounted on studio cardboard from Nadar "35 boulevart des Capucines".
This photograph, taken in 1852 by Nadar after a daguerreotype by Richebourg, was commercialized between 1862 and 1871, as evidenced by the photographer's address on the back of the cardboard.
Pencil annotation in lower margin of the portrait as well as on the back. A period bookseller's label pasted on the back of the cardboard.
One copy at the Musée d'Orsay.
