Autograph letter dated and signed by theater and cinema man Robert Tourneur addressed to Carlo Rim (15 lines in black ink on letterhead of the Léon Voltera establishments - Théâtre de Paris - Théâtre Marigny) enhanced with a small drawing representing two intertwined tricolor flags to celebrate the happy event that is the birth of Alice and Carlo Rim's son on this July 14, 1937: "VIVE LE 14 juillet 1937 QUI VIT VENIR AU MONDE UN ENFANT AUSSI BEAU QUE JEAN-PIERRE-MARIUS CARLO RIM ET FELICITATIONS A SES HEUREUX PARENTS. Robert Tourneur." ["LONG LIVE JULY 14, 1937 WHICH SAW THE BIRTH OF A CHILD AS BEAUTIFUL AS JEAN-PIERRE-MARIUS CARLO RIM AND CONGRATULATIONS TO HIS HAPPY PARENTS. Robert Tourneur."] Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer, author of "Ma belle Marseille", a caricaturist, a filmmaker and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary.
