Letter autograph signed George Sand Marie Luguet said Mario. Burrs without gravity. George Sand sends this letter to Mario to thank her for a letter she received from her. She writes to him: "I see that you read a lot and that you profit from your readings." Mario is the childish patronym of Marie Luguet, the little daughter of actress Marie Dorval with whom George Sand had a great friendship. The little girl who had become an actress at that time had come to Nohant to play on the stage of Sand's little theater. When Marie Dorval died in 1859, George Sand showed special affection for his family. She gives him the friendship of Maurice, his son, and Alexandre Manceau, his lover.
