Signed autograph card of Claude Farrère to a critic, written in black ink. Signature at the bottom of the letter. An ink stain on a word, "principium".
Claude Farrère sends this card to thank a journalist for the article he wrote about him: "thank you for the minutes of joy you gave me this morning" . He compliments him especially for his knowledge and understanding of the models of Farrère he quotes in the letter: Virgil - "my god, from the day I read for the first time ab jove principium Musae ... " - and André Bellesort .
