Humoristique dessin original signé faisant référence au film Fanny de Marc Allégret et Marcel Pagnol réalisé à l'aide de plusieurs crayons de couleurs et adressé à ses amis Alice et Carlo Rim

Original signed drawing titled "Alice au pays des merveilles" ["Alice in Wonderland"] in comic strip form, created with several colored pencils and addressed to his friends Carlo Rim and his wife Alice.
The drawing references the film "Fanny" by Marc Allégret and Marcel Pagnol with, in the leading roles, Raimu (César Ollivier), Pierre Fresnay (Marius, son of César), Orane Demazis (Fanny), Charpin (Honoré Panisse, husband of Fanny); indeed Alice Rim is represented with the features of a benevolent and protective Orane Demazis and Carlo Rim with those of an infantile and mischievous Charpin.
On the verso, Carlo Rim noted: Dessin de H.P. Gassier Juillet 1937 ["Drawing by H.P. Gassier July 1937"].
Provenance: from the Carlo Rim collection, friend of Henry-Paul Gassier, who was a Provençal writer author notably of"Ma belle Marseille" ["My beautiful Marseille"], a caricaturist, a filmmaker and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary.
