Signed autograph letter addressed to his friend Carlo Rim apologizing for not being present at the party organized for his 30th birthday (10 lines in black ink): "On me fête moi aussi ce soir... en famille! C'est pourquoi je n'aurai pas le grand plaisir de lever mon verre à vos trente radieux printemps." ["I too am being celebrated tonight... with family! That's why I won't have the great pleasure of raising my glass to your thirty radiant springs."]

Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer, author of "Ma belle Marseille", a caricaturist, a filmmaker and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary.
