The 16 engravings are preceded with a unique green cover indicating “Album comique par Gavarni”:
– Petits jeux de société (1837-1838): six lithographs published by Caboche, Grégoire et C^ie for Le Charivari.
– Des phrases (1839): four lithographs published by Aubert et C^ie for La Caricature.
– Les Rêves (1839): six lithographs published by Aubert et C^ie for Le Figaro.
Bradel binding in half grey cloth, spine decorated with a title label in black morocco, marbled paper boards, the first bearing a blue title label framed with triple gilt fillets in its centre. Some rubbing on the spine end, bottom of the covers and on the corners as well as on the label margins. Scattered foxing.
