A legend names and locates 30 important buildings, such as the Seraglio, Hagia Sophia and several mosques. A view of the Hellespont, the Sea of Marmara and Constantinople in the distance, is located in the upper right of the map. Handsome copy of this map designed by Johann Baptist Homann (1664-1724) - one of the most renowned cartographers and founder of one of the most important German publishing houses.
