Contemporary half blonde marbled sheep binding. Smooth spine decorated with thick fillets and roulette at foot. Brown sheep title-label. Pink paper on boards. Head torn away. Upper and lower joints split at head and foot and cracked along their length. Scattered foxing.
The author was an important pioneer in the field of air disinfection. He relates here his multiple experiments with chlorine or hydrochloric acid and gives the first description of air disinfection by chlorine, by fumigation, notably in churches where corpses had been long exposed.
