First edition. Very slightly later binding in half camel sheep, smooth spine decorated with red paper title and volume labels, gilt roulettes and fleurons, boards of paper in matching color. Head of spine rubbed with some losses, spine sunned and rubbed. Interior fresh. A second copy of page 131 of the second volume has been erroneously bound at the beginning of this same part. Chambon de Montaux was appointed physician to the Salpêtrière hospital in Paris in 1786. He remained there only a few years before becoming mayor of Paris during the Revolution, succeeding Jérôme Pétion de Villeneuve.
