Full black morocco binding ca. 1760. Smooth Jansenist spine. Gilt title. Hatching on edges and interior. Gilt edges. Despite a spine very slightly faded, a very handsome copy.
« A curious and violent pamphlet, now quite rare, against the Franciscans and Dominicans, which forms a sort of counterpart to the Alcoran des Cordeliers » (Caillet). More generally, the pamphlet is directed against monasticism.
